Amtrak Excursions!
November 7-8, 2009

After an absence of 12 years, Roanoke Chapter announces the return of an Amtrak excursion train to Roanoke!
On the weekend of November 7 and 8, riders have the chance to ride the rails in our area once again. In cooperation with Amtrak and Norfolk Southern, we will operate two round-trip excursions. On Saturday, November 7, 2009 our excursion train will depart the former N&W passenger station bound for Bluefield, West Virginia.

Less that 30 coach tickets remain for Bluefield.
Bluefield tickets are ONLY available by phone or mail order!

On Sunday, November 8, 2009, the train will travel north through the scenic and historic Shenandoah Valley, passing through Buchanan, Natural Bridge Station, Waynesboro and arrive 120 miles north of Roanoke in the town of Shenandoah. While laying over in Shenandoah, passenger can choose their meal, or see the local area before a return to Roanoke that afternoon.

are closed on the day of or the day after the meeting, or Virginia Western night classes
are cancelled
for the night
of a meeting.
